Henry Brim was born in 1980 and lives and works in Cairns. He comes from an extensive family and lineage of practising custodians of traditional culture.
In 2018 Henry’s deep cultural knowledge informed selection of many of the objects and artifacts included in the Cairns Art Gallery’s exhibition, Mara: Indigenous design, politics and food culture. This exhibition, jointly curated by Teho Ropeyarn and Bernard Singleton presented traditional objects used in food gathering and preparation as a large-scale installation work.
In 2019 Henry’s work was showcased at the Cairns Art Gallery in the 2019 FNQ Contemporaries exhibition.
Henry has exhibited at numerous local galleries and events in the Cairns region.
